The SEEDS Project supports our strategic intent of increasing parent and community involvement in the life of the school through a range of formal and informal opportunities. SEEDS stands for Strength, Empowerment, Engagement, Development and Success.
At John Wollaston Anglican Community School, we are committed to supporting our parent body. The SEEDS Project provides a forum for parents to meet, discuss topics of interest and gain support from one another, as well as hear from experts and guest speakers. We aim to facilitate a stronger community, where we can develop social relationships and discover new opportunities available to all families.
Please check regularly for updates on new event announcements. We look forward to welcoming you to the School at one of our upcoming events.

Thai Cave Rescue Hero
An afternoon with Dr Craig Challen SC OAM
The SEEDS Project presents an afternoon with Dr Craig Challen SC OAM who will deliver his inside account of the breathtaking rescue that captured the world. Hear Dr Challen's incredible story as he shares the importance of risk-taking and resilience to achieve what many believed impossible.
In July 2018, Dr Challen and his diving partner Dr Richard Harris, were invited to assist in the rescue operation of a Thai soccer team trapped in the Tham Luang Cave, in a story that gripped the world. The pair worked 14-16 hour days making trips into the cave on a daily basis, working cooperatively to ensure the safe evacuation of everyone from the cave. Dr Challen’s expertise and experience in diving allowed him to help de-kit the boys of their diving equipment after escaping the first flooded section of the evacuation route, carry them to the next section and prepare the boys for the next dive.
