Our Welcome Back BBQ was again extremely well attended this year, despite the hot, balmy weather. Committee members and their families, together with the Year 12 Prefects, served over 600 meals to our JWACS community. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and it was a wonderful way to begin the school year.

We extend our sincere thanks to our tireless committee, who prepared thoroughly for this event, from booking the food trucks to organising the food and entertainment. A significant amount of planning goes into ensuring the success of this evening, and we are grateful for the dedication shown by everyone involved.

We would also like to offer our heartfelt thanks to Sky, our Cafe Manager, for her exceptional support. Sky assisted with cooking, organised all the rolls for the evening, and generously allowed us to use the industrial dishwashers for the clean‑up. Her contribution was invaluable, and we are extremely grateful for her ongoing support.

Thank you to Hollie Burbage and the students for providing the entertainment which was enjoyed by all. The dance floor was a wonderful addition to see people of all ages up having a dance together.

Thank you to OSHClub for handing out free popcorn to the community, kindly donated by JWACS parent, Satria.
