Cocurricular activities and clubs enrich the schooling experience for our students and allow them to pursue opportunities they might not access otherwise.
Primary Clubs
Primary children with bundles of energy can join sporting clubs such as volleyball, netball and cross-country while others can put their creative talents on show through dance, cartoon character creation, speech writing, Mac movie making and recorder. Numero club, debating and chess are available for those who want to build on their academic strengths. Artistic senior students can participate in make-up artistry, visual arts projects, dance, and creative writing.
Secondary Clubs
Participation in one club each week is compulsory for Primary and Secondary students (Years 7 – 9) and enables different year levels to interact and form friendships in an informal environment.

Equestrian
John Wollaston is extremely proud of its Equestrian Team. Our students represent John Wollaston at eventing competitions across Perth, showing their skills in the disciplines of dressage, cross country and show-jumping. This test of all-round horsemanship is where the strength of our riders comes to the fore. Their passion for the sport is such that they regularly give up their time on weekends and during school holidays to train and compete. A three-day competition held during the Term 1 school holidays consisting of competition in the disciplines of dressage, showjumping and showman (a combination of ridden and in-hand presentations), for students from Years 1 to 12, is the biggest Inter-School competition in the State, with around 300 riders, horses and families taking part.

LEGO League
John Wollaston is extremely proud of its LEGO League Robotics Team. Our students have represented John Wollaston, and Australia, at National and International FIRST Lego League Championships.
We are incredibly proud of our Science program at John Wollaston. Our students have some wonderful opportunities to engage and learn within our excellent facilities, which are enhanced by industry-leading teaching staff and supported through a variety of curricular and cocurricular programs.
