A spirited group of JWACS students represented our school at the ACC Inclusive Sports Program, Outdoor Soccer Carnival, today. This exciting event is more than just a day of competition—it’s a celebration of teamwork, enthusiasm, and the joy of engaging in sports in a supportive and inclusive environment.
The ACC Soccer Carnival gives our students a unique opportunity to showcase their skills and experience the thrill of soccer while connecting with their peers from other schools. The carnival promotes a “have a go” approach, encouraging all participants to enjoy the game, learn new techniques, and grow as athletes. With the students from Mercy College guiding them, our students had a memorable experience and a chance to shine on the field.
One of the most exciting aspects of the ACC Soccer Carnival is its emphasis on inclusion and community. Students of all abilities come together to support each other, making this a truly special event. At JWACS, we’re proud to foster an environment where every student feels valued, no matter their skill level. The carnival encourages collaboration, sportsmanship, and the spirit of friendly competition, creating lasting memories for everyone involved.
‘I am incredibly proud of our students who represented JWACS at the ACC Soccer Carnival. This event provides a fantastic opportunity for them to channel their enthusiasm, embrace the values of teamwork and inclusion, and build confidence in a supportive environment. As the new Head of Inclusive Education, it’s truly inspiring to witness our students engage in an event where they celebrate each other’s strengths, support one another, and shine together.
“At JWACS, we are committed to creating meaningful and inclusive experiences for our students. Supporting our students at the ACC Soccer Carnival has been a memorable and enriching experience for everyone involved.”
