Over four action-packed days in the April school holidays, the talented John Wollaston Anglican Community School Equestrian Team proudly represented the School at the 2025 WA Interschool Equestrian Championships. Held at the State Equestrian Centre in Brigadoon, the event brought together the top young riders from across Western Australia, showcasing skill, sportsmanship, and school spirit in a variety of disciplines.
With a team of 11 riders competing in events ranging from Show Jumping and Dressage to Combined Training and Vaulting, John Wollaston students demonstrated dedication and resilience both in and out of the arena. The Championships are a significant event on the School sport calendar, offering students the opportunity to compete at a high level while forming friendships and memories that last a lifetime.

Not only did our students achieve many personal goals but they also supported one another with enthusiasm and care. Their commitment to training, teamwork, and horsemanship was evident throughout the competition.

· Ava (Yr 8) – Overall Champion Intermediate Preliminary Dressage, 6th place Intermediate 2.2 and 2.3 Novice Dressage, 4th place 60cm Combined Training Championship and Reserve Champion Intermediate Showhorse
· Ruby (Yr 7) – Reserve Champion Participant 45cm Combined Training
· Zoe (Yr 9) – Overall 3rd Place Intermediate Showhunter
· Violet (Yr 8) – 2nd and 3rd place 60cm Championship Showjumping, 2nd and 4th place 70cm Championship Showjumping
A very special congratulations to Zoe who has also been selected to represent WA in the Showhunter classes at the 2025 National Championships.
Overall Rider and Team awards will be announced at a separate event in June.
