On Tuesday of Week 4, the Secondary School gathered under clear blue skies for our Inter-House Athletics Carnival. This year’s event was held on the School oval, adding colour and vibrancy to the school grounds.
The day began with the much-loved march-past, showcasing each House’s creativity and spirit. Scott House rolled in on skateboards as The Simpsons, Ramsden raced as Lightning McQueen, Hale tumbled and chanted as the Dallas Cowboys, and Charter soared in as the cheerful green Duolingo owl.
The competition opened with the 200m Sprint, with students cheered on enthusiastically by their House peers along the track. The atmosphere throughout the day was one of energy, encouragement and strong community spirit, with students, staff and parents all contributing to the success of the Carnival.
As tradition dictates, the day concluded with the Wollaston Sprint – a 100m race between the fastest athletes from each House. Congratulations to Devlin (Scott) and Claire (Hale) for taking out the Wollaston Sprint titles.
Across both the Pre-Carnival and Carnival days, four records were broken – an outstanding achievement. Congratulations to Gerald (Ramsden) for setting a new U13 Boys 200m record, Riley (Charter) for breaking the U14 Boys 1500m record, Rhys (Scott) for his Open Boys 400m Sprint record, and Serah (Charter) for surpassing her own Open Girls Discus record from last year.
Finally, congratulations to all our Champions and Runners-Up for their incredible efforts and achievements.
