As students step into their Secondary years from Year 7, their world expands with a broader range of learning opportunities across the eight learning areas of the Australian Curriculum. Our strong academic and pastoral focus continues in the Secondary School, where we provide the foundation for students to develop the knowledge, skills and dispositions for success in further education, work and life.

Our teachers are working to ‘future-proof’ our students’ education, providing them with more choice, agency over their learning, and inspiration for future pathways by offering a range of curriculum and cocurricular opportunities. From learning robotics to speaking Japanese or drone piloting or equestrian, our Cocurricular and Specialist programs provide diverse opportunities for students to discover their passions and talents. For aspiring actors, chefs, innovators, inventors and musicians alike, in the senior years, we’re focused on nurturing the skills and characteristics our students need to be future change makers.

We are a proud first-mover school on the New Metrics for Success project with Melbourne Assessment at the University of Melbourne. The purpose of the project is to align the learning ambitions of 40 Australian schools with metrics used to measure success. The New Metrics for Success project is focused on ‘reimagining schooling’, by moving away from the traditional measures of success to embed 21st Century skills.

Future pathways

Whether a student wants to learn a trade or go to university (or isn’t sure yet) we ensure every student is supported to find their way through their senior years and realise their future dreams.

Through our bespoke MYPath program, senior students are guided and supported by the Head of MYPath to tailor their learning journey in matching their interests, strengths and talents. From Year 11, students participate in ‘MYPath’ choosing from one of five streams of learning including an ATAR pathway, General pathway and Vocational and Education Training pathways.
