Rowing
The school is on the doorstep of the Champion Lakes Regatta Centre, which provides a fun and safe facility for students in Years 7 to 12 to learn how to row. Coaching sessions led by experienced instructors aim to increase the confidence and competence of new rowers to enable them to get the most out of their experience on the water. Rowing provides a low-impact, whole-body workout and promotes teamwork and commitment. The Inter-House Rowing Regatta is a feature of the Term 4 House Calendar.

Equestrian

John Wollaston is extremely proud of its Equestrian Team. Our students represent John Wollaston at eventing competitions across Perth, showing their skills in the disciplines of dressage, cross country and show-jumping. This test of all-round horsemanship is where the strength of our riders comes to the fore. Their passion for the sport is such that they regularly give up their time on weekends and during school holidays to train and compete. A three-day competition held during the Term 1 school holidays consisting of competition in the disciplines of dressage, showjumping and showman (a combination of ridden and in-hand presentations), for students from Years 1 to 12, is the biggest Inter-School competition in the State, with around 300 riders, horses and families taking part.
