About the event

John Wollaston Anglican Community School is a registered International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP) school. This session is for community members who wish to learn more about the IB PYP and how it helps students foster a lifelong love of learning.

The IB was founded on a philosophy that recognises a child's natural curiosity, creativity and ability to reflect, the PYP generates a stimulating, challenging learning environment to nurture those assets and foster a lifelong love of learning in every child. The PYP is transdisciplinary, meaning students learn across subject areas while investigating big ideas.

Hear from Deputy Head of Primary: Teaching and Learning, Fiona Currey and students as they explain the 10 reasons why the IB PYP is ideal for students and families. A short Q&A at the end of the session will allow you to ask any questions you may have. Following the session there will be an opportunity for individuals and families to tour the School and facilities. Children are welcome to attend.
