GLYN TEAPE, CLASS OF 1996

Deputy Head of Primary

Primary teacher, John Wollaston: 2001 - 2017

I started at John Wollaston in 1991 as a year 7 student and graduated in the Class of 1996.

My fondest memories are of my fellow students and teachers – particularly when I was in Year 12, where the staff were wonderful role models and mentors.

John Wollaston really helped prepare me for life after graduation. The teachers offered us a lot of support for study and some great advice for our plans post-Year 12, whether we were heading into further study or the workforce.

I feel really privileged and proud to be back at John Wollaston as a staff member.

It feels great to be able to give a little back to the school that offered me so much and set me up for life. It feels really special to have seen the campus and School grow and develop from its very humble beginnings.

Being a teacher is such a special vocation. Through pastoral care and motivating students, my aim is to bring out the best in every student and help them to realise their full potential. This, I believe, can help them to achieve a Bright Future.
