In the last week of Term 4, our annual Messy Mud Day had the Early Learning Centre buzzing with excitement. From sensory tubs filled with slimy, fluffy and soapy textures to the glorious mud play area, everyone had a wonderful time exploring the different messy zones set up around the Centre, adults included.
One of the highlights this year was the nature art area. Brightly coloured masterpieces hung from bamboo frames, created with colourful mud or painted using brushes made from leaves. The students especially enjoyed making star wands from bamboo and decorating them with natural materials. A special thank you to the Year 6 students who volunteered to prepare the stars for our youngest learners to enjoy.
We extend our sincere thanks to all the volunteers who helped make the day such a success. The time spent preparing sensory ingredients, collecting citrus and flowers for the potions, setting up and caring for each messy area, and assisting with the clean-up was very much appreciated.
