A school community where every child belongs
Nestled at the foot of the Perth hills in Camillo, our culturally diverse school community is where students from all backgrounds thrive and belong.
At John Wollaston Anglican Community School, our students come from a wide range of cultural, race, faith and socio-economic backgrounds. As a school of AngliSchools, we are inclusive and welcoming of all.
Work hard, be kind, have fun
Often heard in our Primary classrooms and assemblies, ‘work hard, be kind, have fun’ encapsulates the excellence and care which we uphold, in an environment which is positive and enjoyable for students. These words represent our school spirit and how we live our Christian values every day.
A positive and stable learning environment
In our ever changing world, our school campus provides an attractive, calm environment where our students can feel they belong – a place that’s theirs – a place where they are inspired to learn and to be.
Over the past 35 years, our caring teachers and support staff have prioritised knowing their students well, to ensure they are equipped to thrive and develop into capable young people who love to learn.

Extraordinary learning experiences
From the Early Years to the Senior Secondary, our students discover their passions and talents in an environment of innovative and progressive education offerings. Our education programs are designed to equip students to think for themselves and make a difference in the world.
In their formative years, our students learn how to become critical thinkers through an inquiry-led curriculum of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme – renowned as the world’s best practice in Primary education. Through inquiry, research and reflection students develop a suite of 21st century skills for life.
As an Anglican School, our students participate in the Religious and Values Education (RAVE) Program, and attend Chapel. They learn the importance and impact of kindness and compassion by helping others in the community through our Service Learning Program
Year 7 is a phase of transition. As the first year in the Secondary School, our students are guided in all aspects of their academic and pastoral programs to prepare them for Year 8 and beyond. A purpose built Year 7 building and dedicated core teaching team who work with the students in several learning areas are supported by Secondary teachers in the specialist areas, such as the Art Studios, Workshop, Theatre, Science labs and Kitchen. From Year 7, learning opportunities expand with a broader range of offerings across the eight learning areas of the Australian Curriculum. From learning to play a musical instrument or speak Japanese to drone piloting, rowing and equestrian, our Cocurricular and Specialist programs provide a huge range of opportunities for students of all abilities to discover their interests and talents.
In the Senior Secondary, whether aspiring to learn a trade or go to university we ensure every student is supported to find their way and realise their future goals through our bespoke MYPath program.
We value who our students are as much as their results and nurture their character alongside their academic progress. In our inclusive community, our students grow into well rounded young adults confident in their interactions with others and motivated to contribute to a more peaceful, kinder world.
