Year 1 is the first year of more structured learning, where our young students grow in leaps and bounds both socially and academically.

Alongside developing strong literacy and numeracy foundations, you might also find our fabulous Year 1 staff keeping track of wobbly teeth and setting off on hunt-and-gather missions for missing school jackets and hats, as students learn to take more responsibility for their belongings.

Highlights of Year 1 at JWACS include a very exciting Encounter to Perth Zoo and celebrating 100 Days of School in Term 3.
