The JWACS Dance Company travelled to the Mandurah Performing Arts Centre to compete in the Youth-On-Health Festival (YOH Fest) heats.
Our students performed exceptionally and represented the School with pride – earning, for the second year running, the Excellence in YOH Fest Etiquette award. This honour recognises their outstanding backstage behaviour, kindness and encouragement toward other schools, and respectful interactions with marshals, staff and judges throughout the event.
We were proud to take two teams this year:
- Our A Team received a Certificate of Merit for Creative and Meaningful Choreography with their powerful piece, Finding Connection.
- Our B Team was awarded a Certificate of Merit for Effective Use of Technology to Further a Dance Narrative for their thoughtful performance, There Will Always Be a Rainbow.
Congratulations to all participants on these fantastic achievements!
